Early Vintage Antique Chocolate Mold LARGE Anton Reiche Sword Cutlass 13 inch

What a fantastic chocolate mold! Imagine going to a chocolate shop back in the day and coming home with a chocolate sword. I don’t think this one would have been easy to mold either–it has so much detail. I noticed two that they made the end blunt. I guess so little (or big) boys with their chocolate sword couldn’t really poke anyone very hard. It’s just about 15 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide at the widest point of the handle. Has a dark patina and typical scratches from clips. Inside is worn also so I don’t think you’ll be able to use it for chocolate unless it can be polished. Stamped Anton Reiche Dresden and 10018. Stamped 5 on one side and 3 R on the other. Quite heavy compared to a lot of the other chocolate molds I’ve seen over the years. Please note that any color you’re seeing on the mold in some of the photos is just a reflection of colors in the room or at times what I’m wearing! I was wearing a red shirt that day and you can see the color reflected.

Wonderful Antique Vintage ANTON REICHE SITTING SCOTTIE DOG CHOCOLATE MOLD. The mold number is 29011. This is a German mold and is signed on the back of the mold. This ANTON REICHE mold dates from 1933 to 1939. This sitting Scottie Dog mold Measures 5″ tall and 6″ wide and 1 1/4 deep. In very good condition. You will find scratches, dings, scuffs and rust specks and the usual wear and tear – all commensurate with age. Has a wonderful patina from 100 years of usage! This mold was in service many many decades bringing Joy to all who were lucky enough to receive a Chocolate SCOTTIE DOD. This mold is listed in CHOCOLATE MOULDS A History & Encyclopedia by Judene Divone page 68. This Fabulous SITTING SCOTTIE DOG Chocolate Mold would make a Wonderful addition to your collection!

From a multi generational family business of chocolate makers. This antique chocolate mold is an 11? Baby not a Kewpie. Many times baby molds are identified as a Kewpie, the difference is the Kewpie has a knot of hair of some fashion on top of the head. The mold was made by Anton Reiche, marked with the manufacturers’ number. This is the largest of the Baby molds and is suitable for molding chocolate.
