This is a handsome chocolate mold of a donkey with panniers standing in a field. Made by Sommet, E. Paris, France around 1920. The markings are barely visible above a pannier on one side but show the number 2044 and the signature diamond of Sommet (not the dancing dolphin). You can no longer read the date inside the diamond, but our research indicates it was made around 1920. It is 5 1/2 inches wide, 4 1/2 inches tall and weighs 4 ounces. Tinning inside no longer suitable for making chocolate yet this will make a nice addition to your chocolate mold collection!
