And 158217 on the outside front of Santa’s belly; on his back it is marked 271; it is in excellent condition with no breaks in the mold or the hinge; it is approx. 4 inches across at the hinge. Antique patented German pewter ice cream mold. Hinged with incised mark: D. 158217, and Made in Germany, DRGM is the patent mark, not a mfg. Very nice condition; quite detailed on interior, and very straight mold lines. This one might be very rare. Pewter molds were made for commerical, not home use, so are hard to find.
