Antique 19th Century English Copper Pudding Chocolate Mold

This antique solid copper pudding , chocolate mold has a multi-tiered design typical for the 1800’s and early 1900’s. From England, it has the number 295 stamped on the lower side. Measures 4-1/2” tall by 4” across the top with a base 5-1/2” across in a tapering design. Unpolished, it has attained a nice patina which shows various dents and highlights the tiered design. The under side shows a well darkened surface from its years of use. In very good condition. Beautiful tin food mold with original lid, 11 full body hearts for making decorative aspic, pudding, deserts or savory dishes, c1900. Made in Italy for Thurnauer NYC, stamped on lid and body, a large importer distributor of tin kitchen, pantry, bakery and household goods, from the late 1800s unti aboutl WWI. About 7 inches across lid, about 2.75 inches high with lid on, each heart is about 1.5 by about 1.5 inches, ending in a point. Tinned interior still shiny, appealing graphic display with the folk hearts around a central well. Very good condition, even patina, still useable if so desired.
