A great Valentines or Easter present for a Chocolate Mold Lover or Collector!!! For your consideration is a VERY RARE chocolate mold – Jaburg Brothers’ (Germany) 9 Father Christmas with Bag on Left, # 24. This mold was made by Jaburg sometime between 1910 and 1940. The interior of the chocolate mold is 9″ (H), while the mold itself is about 9 1/2″ tall. The width of the mold at the bottom is about 4 1/2″ while the width of the base on which Father Christmas stands is about 3″. Both the interior and exterior of the mold show its age as they are heavily oxidized; the interior is almost entirely black with a combination of what appears to be oxidation and soot. I almost missed the markings on this mold. I looked it over several times and thought that there were no markings. However, something kept catching my eye and under magnification, I found a partial of the Jaburg Bro. Marking and the mold number 24 — please see the photographs that I have provided.
