Heavy duty antique Victorian primitive chocolate mold featuring a design with two seated bunny rabbits and an Easter egg basket, c. Solid cast iron composition shows metal bars on each side of the piece with hinges at the top and bottom and 6 distinct clamp closure/attachments. Crisply textured interior molds. Evident soldering around the entire piece. Overall measurements: 7 1/4″ High x 7″ Wide. Each rabbit measures approximately 6″ H x 3″ W x 1 5/8 Thick (tapering down in size towards the head). Good to very good. A single clamp on the bottom side does not fully engage because a thin metal ridge is no longer soldered to the bottom plate. The mold’s ability to close is not changed by this single issue. Minor sections of rust and general surface wear show around the exposed composition.
