Very Rare Antique & Vintage Quadruple Fawn/Deer/Bambi Chocolate Candy Mold. The item is unmarked but bears a strong resemblance to T. Weygandt molds from the 1920s made in the USA. Could be German as well. The mold consists of four fawns banded together on a hinged pewter frame with two working clamps. The interior molds are tin. This is a very heavy duty mold weighing in at just over 6lbs. I have not seen this exact piece in good condition anywhere else online! The item is in used condition and shows typical signs of wear and tear given its age (patina; moderate rust). It was owned and regularly used by a culinary professional and chocolatier. What’s important to note is that the interior tin molds are in good shape, which I’m told is crucial to a mold’s functionality and value. Note: there is a bit of minor rusting/discoloration on the outermost lip of the interior molds. It does not appear that this would affect the chocolate molds. I did my best to clean the item, but there is still a bit of chocolate residue in spots which might require deeper cleaning. Please look closely at pictures! Full mold: 11″h x 10″w x 1.7d.
