Antique Chocolate Mold OLD WORLD SANTA Eppelsheimer #4739 Very Good Condition. A rare find I believe, this Old World Santa, St. Nick, or Father Christmas is dressed in a long coat pointed hat and a pair of boots. The coat has an interesting hem on the bottom. A few of these types of Santa’s that ive see are wearing a long robe. It was used in a quaint New England Mom and Pop candy store for many years.. This mold is in very good condition and comes complete with authentic clamp bars. The Makers Mark and mold number are visible. The mold will make a wonderfully detailed solid chocolate Old World Santa that will be 5 3/4 inches tall and 2 inches wide at the elbows. The mold is in terrific shape. The family were from Germany and had a lot of German chocolate molds. Interestingly, this mold was made in the US and looks like it was never used. New York, NY, ca. Each is a two-part figural mold with tremendous detail; the original clips are not present. The large Roaster Turkey is marked with #23 and Mold #6842. One Standing Turkey is marked #71 and Mold #7068; the other with Mold #6514. The photos are probably the best description for this lot. See Internet for further information on the maker. Antique Eppelsheimer & Co. NY Santa Claus Chocolate Mold 1939

I have made chocolate Santas with him for quite a few years now. I have even made butter Santas with him for our Christmas dinner table. He is 6 high, the mold is actually 7 high and he is 2 ½ wide and the mold is 3 ½ wide and he is 2 ¼ deep. He is hinged at the top and has a roller type clip at the bottom. He is marked Eppelsheimer & Co N. Nov 1939 along the side and the top says US Pat No 1948146 and the bottom is also marked the same. On the top right side (facing you) are the numbers 8139. I think he was originally used in a professional chocolate candy company. He is in excellent condition and displays very well.
