Antique chocolate candy mold manufactured by Eppelsheimer & Co #4051. Sitting bunny on low mound manufactured early 1900s. Also marked 868 on both pieces. Mold has overall measurements of 5″tall x 5″ wide. In good used vintage condition with wear commensurate with age. Multiple pictures have been shown and I can provide more on request. Antique heavy pewter George Washington ice cream chocolate Eppelsheimer mold #1024. Design: The mold features a detailed bust of General George Washington. Number: The number “1084” is likely a mold or design number. Usage: These molds were used for creating chocolates, candies, or ice cream figures. In 1897 Alfred Cralle of the United States was issued a patent on an ice cream mold. The molds were produced in a variety of shapes including animals, fruit, flowers and holiday figures and symbols. Political and romantic themes were not overlooked. George Washington’s likeness was often used. Eppelsheimer Mold Manufacturing Co. Which was located in New York City created molds of every theme and design imaginable, and were celebrated for their wonderful detail. Each piece displayed their signature E & Co, NY, which was stamped on one side of the mold. The catalog number was also stamped on each piece. Molds were equipped with soldered hinges.

THIS IS JUST A WONDERFUL LARGE BUNNY RABBIT CHOCOLATE MOLD. THIS IS AN AMERICAN MOLD. MADE BY EPPELSHEIMER & CO. THEY WERE IN BUSINESS FROM 1880 – 1947. THIS BEAUTY MEASURES 14 1/2″ TALL BY 7 1/2″ WIDE. AND THE MOLD IS 5 DEEP. THIS MOLD IS MARKED marked with the number 8046. THAT DENOTES THAT IT WAS MADE BY THE EPPELSHIMER CO. ALSO MARKED WITH THE NIMBER 23 ON BOTH SIDED. SO THIS IS A MATCHED MOLD! THIS MOLD FITS TOGETHER SNUGLY, SO ITS PERFECT TO MOLD CANDY. IT IS IN VERY GOOD USED ANTIQUE CONDITION.
