VERY RARE BIG SIZE ANTON REICHE CLOWN CHOCOLATE MOLD! This outstanding antique (double) chocolate mold was made in Dresden, Germany, far before WW2. Probably over 100 years old! It was found in a long forgotten storeroom in an old bakery in Amsterdam. It was hidden there for many decades. It was used to make a big-size chocolate clown, for display in the shop window. Normally you will find these kind of molds in a much smaller size. This one is exceptional big. After we saved this funny guy, we only dusted him off with a soft brush. We did NOT clean or polish it, so it kept it’s beautiful patina. Each (half) mold has the impressed number #31. This proofs it is a matching pair of molds. 12,20 (inch) or approx. And 5,90 (inch) or 15 CM. Ruler in pictures is in CENTIMETER. Usual wear & tear due to age and usage. Scuff marks, small dents, scratches, rust, dirt, etc. The front mold has a small tear at the right side, next to his elbow. The back side mold has similar wear, also at the right side, next to the elbow. The mold is, in it’s current state, not suitable for molding chocolate. Thank you for your interest in our item!
