Your mold #1032 was made by Eppelsheimer E&Co. And depicts Trilby, the key character in George DuMaurier’s very popular 1894 novel, Trilby. I recieved this information from another member. Vintage 12 Heris – Germany Tin Sitting Bunny Rabbit w/Flowers & Leaves 2-Part Candy Chocolate Mold w/ Clips. It is marked #314 Germany and each side is marked #23. It measures approximately 12″ tall, 11″ wide, 4-1/8 depth. Condition: Estate find – There are no breaks in the mold. There are 3 clips. It was previously used and displayed so there is wear. Please see photos as they are part of the condition. Colors between the pictures and the actual color may slightly vary due to light, flash of the camera. Please see our other auctions. I initially thought it was a pepper grinder or a mortar of sorts but it has a bow on the front so I have suggested it be a Christmas / Holiday mold. If you know what it is, I would be interested to hear. It is numbered 556 and is very heavy weighing 347 grams or 3/4 of a pound. About 3.5″ high and 3″ at the widest part where the hinge is. Signs of age and patina to the metal. Hinges are solid and functional. Photos will best describe condition.
