For offer is a “Rare Antique Metal Chocolate Bunny Mold” (14″ High) in Very Good+ to Excellent Condition THIS “ANTIQUE METAL CHOCOLATE BUNNY MOLD HAS BEEN INSPECTED, CLEANED, AND POLISHED. It is fully ready for display with no additional cleaning needed! DESCRIPTION: This early “Bunny” tin mold was no doubt used in a chocolate shop for molding 3-dimensional pieces of chocolate in the shape of a rabbit standing with a basket pack on his back. It is a nice old mold with realistic bunny and basket weave details. This bunny mold is designed as a framed unit that is hinged, and called a “book mold”. This bunny mold is a nice unusually large mold, and probably used to mold a stunning display piece. It measures a large 14″ tall x 7-1/2″ wide, and about 5 wide. This “Rare Antique Metal Chocolate Bunny Mold” is no doubt somewhere dated around the late 18th to early part of the 20th century (1890 to 1920’s). No doubt at least 100 years old! Both the inner and outer metal of this bunny mold, has been cleaned, buffed, and is in excellent display condition. There are no dents to this bunny mold. There is only a top “locking clasp” that has lost its “curly end”. This could easily be repaired if desired with a new “curly end” being welded to the remaining end clip. This missing top “clip” does not, in any way, keep the bunny mold from being completely locked closed. There are two other completely working “lock clasps” on the one side of the bunny mold that work perfectly. After extensive cleaning and polishing, this bunny mold was tightly sealed in plastic wrap to preserve its “very good+ to excellent” condition.
