This Vintage Pair, male & female, maritime, nautical, French chocolate molds (5 3/4″ female, male 6″ tall) are rare collectibles. The molds were first made in Paris by Letang, a copy of the 1934 catalog page is among the photos. Letang went out of business many years ago. The Chalkware created in the 1980’s is also included. This cast iron mold is number #158, (very difficult to make out) listed as Cow with Calf in the Mills catalog. I added a picture so you can see the calf on one side. Being cast iron, it has separation between halves, but due to the fast cooling properties of cast iron, the flashing on the candy is minimal. I just made a batch to illustrate the candy that it produces. This is a great addition for both collectors and candy makers.
