Up for consideration this rare vintage antique large rabbit unmarked ice cream or chocolate mold measuring 7 1/2″ long, 4 3/4″ tall, & 2 5/8 wide (all inside mold measurements). Pictures show 2 side handles & 2 hinges of this pewter mold weighting 3 1/4 pounds. Looks like to us a good quality item like Anton Reiche Germany or Eppelsheimer would make. If this helps it was found in German area of Lancaster, PA. Which is near New York City. (German influence & near Eppelsheimer’s place of business). Rare ANTON REICHE RABBIT withBASKET CHOCOLATE MOLD #6842 ANTIQUE

This is a rare Anton Reiche Dresden Germany chocolate mold of a Rabbit with Basket. It is mold number 6842. There is no Anton Reiche mark, but this is a known design and number for other marked molds. There is a small monogram mark next to the number which I believe could be the candy factory which it was made for. Both halves are also marked with the number “6”. This would make a Rabbit that is 8 1/2″ tall and 5 1/2″ at the bottom. The mold itself is 9 1/2″ tall by 7″ across the bottom. There is only one of the clips. I did see that there are some small old solder bits on the basket at the bottom (see photos of inside and outside) , which could be an old repair… It is not noticeable and displays very well. RARE Antique LARGE Copper Chocolate Mold Classic Sitting Lamb AAFA. This is a very rare and, possibly, one-of-a-kind chocolate mold, depicting a resting lamb. Formed of a heavy gauge copper exterior, with a tin interior. The entire mold measures 13″ w x 8.5″ h x 5 d. The lamb is finely detailed with very curly coat, folded legs, flowing tail. Upturned ears, and rests on a mound with floral detail. There are three folded steel braces/clips for holding the two halves together. Marked D 7 , there are no other markings or a makers mark. This is a truly exceptional piece and would make a unique addition to a copper mold collection. Circa: 1920 – 1930. Minimal exterior wear appropriate for age and soft copper material. Very few scratches and almost no dings. Highly detailed & very clean piece. Interior in good condition with some loss of tin finish in spots. No distortion or warping to form. The clips work well. Rare Peasant Rabbit Wearing Clothes German Antique Chocolate Mold 4 1/4 X 3

This beautiful German chocolate mold is attributed to Anton Reiche. The only writing on this one is “Made In Berlin Germany” and the #5298. I have owned this mold for many years and I no longer have room for it. The inside is in excellent condition and can still be used for chocolate (or crafts). The outside has the normal wear for a mold of this age. The Judene Divone Chocolate Mold Encyclopedia states that Anton Reiche produced this mold from 1921 to 1939. The chalkware in the photo is NOT INCLUDED and is for visual reference only. The two piece mold comes with the circular clips in the photo. You got to love the detail of H. By far some of the best detail I have seen! This rare and scarce mold measures at a whopping 20” It is in great condition for its age and can still be molded with today! Yet this mold is unmarked it is stamped with the mold number 5318 which indicates it is indeed an H. This mold may have some discoloration on the outside but that is normal for a mold of this age.
