For your consideration is a rare chocolate mold made by J. Matuschek of Vienna, Austria. The chocolate mold is a 5 1/4 KRAMPUS – half goat and half demon – at Christmas punishes the children who have misbehaved. While the mold is over 5″ tall, it is 2 1/2″ (L) and has a depth of 1 1/8. A review of the photographs will reveal that the mold has a maker’s mark. Note that Wein = Vienna. Obviously, the mold was made in Vienna, Austria. Note, too, that the mold is a marriage; a “5” on one half and a “7” on the other. The clip is included in the sale. The cast iron skeleton bank, the block of wood, and the ruler shown in some of the photography is not included in the sale. I specialized in antique chocolate molds and Halloween items.
