Here is one of the rarest vintage chocolate candy molds I have ever seen – I have not been able to find a record of it in any published source or online: A heavy steel tin-plated mold for 27 oval pastilles depicting the BROOKLYN BRIDGE. Measures 11 1/8″ square and 3/4″ deep The ovals are 2 3/4″ x 1 1/4″ Condition is good – there are a few minor rust spots on the surface and sides and the back is clean. I see no reason why this cannot be used again to make chocolates. The Brooklyn Bridge was considered a marvel of engineering since its dedication in 1883 and became famous world-wide so it is not too surprising that it would appear on a chocolate mold.
