This charming, vintage, European chocolate mold of a chimney sweep had double possibilities. The figure is 4 1/4″ and 1 3/4″ wide. It could be painted as a human chimney sweep or a snowman. The artist chose to create it as a snowman, which is included with the mold. The painted chalkware snowman is included and is signed by the artist, who is a contributor in the Schiffer publication on using chocolate molds for artistic purposes. It is unlikely that this snowman would make more than one trip down the chimney given his occupational hazards. Made from chalkware, this “tongue in cheek” creation makes a unique gift for the snowman collector. The mold is an antique from the early 1900’s. The chalkware was created in 2024.
