Beautiful tin food mold with original lid, 11 full body hearts for making decorative aspic, pudding, deserts or savory dishes, c1900. Made in Italy for Thurnauer NYC, stamped on lid and body, a large import distributor of kitchen, pantry, bakery and household goods, from the late 1800s until at least WWI. About 7 inches across lid, about 2.75 inches high with lid on, each heart is about 1.5 by about 1.5 inches, ending in a point. Tinned interior still shiny, appealing graphic display with the folk hearts around a central well. Very good condition, even patina, still useable if so desired. Guaranteed as described, a rare antique cooking utensil of a fancy tin folkart heart mold.
