I had a small chalkware business but realize I really won’t ever have time. I’m sure someone else could make some wonderful chalkware or paper mache pieces. Or start your own little business. Until I found the number stamped on the back I couldn’t find a thing out about this egg. 8116 is stamped on the back piece. This egg was made by Eppelsheimer. This is a very large 2 piece egg at 7 by 10 inches with 6 inches of depth (measurements are from edge to edge, not just the egg). Features a bunny bursting out of a cracked egg. On the back is a flat base with an ornamental ring around it. This egg has issues but since it’s so unusual you might overlook them. It was used to serve as the model for which to make a modern polycarbonate mold from. So it has pinholes all over the surface and I’m sure that was done so the mold would release. If you didn’t know they were there you might not see them at first. There are probably 2 dozen tiny pinholes on the front and back of the mold. The mold does have quite a bit of wear with not much of the original shiny surface left. Please ask any questions before purchasing. I’m always happy to answer questions.
