AMAZING Antique, circa 1900, Anton Reiche St. Nicholas (Santa) Chocolate Mold, made of heavy gauge metal. Depicts an “old world” Saint Nicholas with his Bishop’s hat and mitre. Excellent antique condition, all parts working, just patina due to age! There are markings on the front center latch on mold (see photo #7) but they have worn away from age. I believe this to be an Anton Reiche mold, as it is quite similar to my other Reiche mold St. Nicholas on Horseback, please see listing. Measures 3 3/4″ in height, 2″ in width and 1 1/2 depth. There is a heavy duty hinge on one side holding the mold together (see photo #1) and one center latch that also holds the mold together (see photo #1). Made in Dresden, Germany. Beautiful details – this mold would make a solid chocolate St. The latch holds the mold tight if you decide to use it.
