AMAZING Antique, circa 1890, Anton Reiche St. Nicholas (Santa) on Horseback Chocolate Mold, made of heavy gauge metal. Depicts an “old world” Saint Nicholas with his Bishop’s hat and mitre, on his beautiful horse. Excellent antique condition, all parts working, just patina due to age! Marked “Anton Reiche Dresden” and “#29244″ on mold. Measures 7″ in height, 6″ in length, and 2 depth. There is a heavy duty hinge on one side holding the mold together (see photo #4) and 3 attached clips that also hold the mold together (see photo #1). Made in Dresden, Germany. This mold was pictured in the book “Chocolate Molds” by Wendy Mullen on page 192. Beautiful details – this mold would make a solid chocolate St. The clips hold the mold tight if you decide to use it.
