I bought a small group of ice cream molds (& a few chocolate molds) in my midtown Manhattan rare coin store, from an important diplomat from a southern European country. He indicares there are 200 more, –probably not ALL different– and that they were in use in an ice cream parlor, into the 1940s.. I believe it would have been in Nassau County, Long Island. My main business is rare coins, medals, tokens. I have not cleaned any of the pieces. They can be viewed in my store, along with molds I have “waiting in the wings”. Also, on my website, I have addeed webpages with pictures of a couple dozen Chocolate Molds, and maybe 70 Ice Cream molds. If you see pices of iinterest, I will try to list them in January. I know rather little about these. Half of what I know comes from one eBayer who was generous with info. It is only concidentally a reference to chocolate.
